A Guide to Our Coffee: Five Origins, Five Stories

A Guide to Our Coffee: Five Origins, Five Stories

It's been roughly a year since you met SweetCulture Coffee.

Maybe it was a weekend at the farmers market, maybe it was a friend's recommendation, or maybe you found us scrolling Instagram at midnight craving something better than what was in your pantry. However it happened — thank you! (No really, Thank you!) A year in, we wanted to do something we've never done before: introduce you to the full family.

Coffee isn't just a morning habit for us — it's a passport. Every bag we roast tells the story of a specific place, a specific harvest, and the hands that grew it. Whether you're a longtime SweetCulture regular or you just met us last weekend, here's your guide to finding the roast that's right for you.

Guatemalan — Dark Roast (Our Bestseller)

If you love a coffee that feels like a warm hug in a mug, start here. Our Guatemalan dark roast is bold and full-bodied, finishing with notes of dark chocolate and cocoa. It's the roast our regulars reorder most — the one that built SweetCulture one cup at a time, right at our farmers market table.

Best for: Drip coffee, French press, or anyone who takes their coffee strong and straightforward.

Ethiopian — Light Roast

Ethiopia is where coffee began, and this roast honors that legacy. Bright and floral with a delicate acidity, it's a completely different experience from our dark roast — more like a fine tea than a heavy cup of coffee. If you've never had a true light-roast single-origin, this is the one to start your education with.

Best for: Pour-over or any brew method that lets those floral, delicate notes shine.

Honduran — Medium Roast

Right in the middle, both in roast level and in personality. Orange and toffee notes give this cup a warm sweetness, balanced by a smooth, easygoing body. It's the roast we hand to friends who say "I don't know what I like yet" — because almost everyone likes this one.

Best for: Any brew method. This is our most versatile bag.

Mexican — Light Roast

Bright chocolate and citrus notes make this one of our most food-friendly coffees — bring it out alongside brunch or a slice of something sweet. It's got the acidity of a light roast with a little more depth than you'd expect.

Best for: Pour-over or cold brew, especially in the warmer months.

Papua New Guinea — Light Roast

Clean, fruit-forward, and light-bodied, this is the roast for the adventurous cup. It doesn't taste like anything else in our lineup, which is exactly why it's earned a loyal following.

Best for: Pour-over, and for anyone who wants to taste something genuinely different.
